drench case study

Bringing concepts to life

Generating Shaping

Click here to see a presentation of some of the work that went into the intitial stages of launching drench.

When developing a new product from scratch, having agreed the proposition, the next stage is usually to design the product itself.

This involves working with our technical teams to formulate the product recipe, and a branding agency to develop a name, identity and packaging design. The process can take many months, and usually involves further qualitative and quantitative research. In this case however, our product already existed.

The investment we had already made in drench and the production site producing it meant that we already owned a good source of spring water, and therefore had no need to worry about this part of the process.

What's more, although we had work to do on its positioning, our research indicated that the existing drench name worked well with our proposition and had the potential to appeal to a much wider audience.
