Batch make-up area at our Widford factory

Following instructions from Head Office, our factories produce and package drinks in batches, depending on demand.

The production of each batch is controlled by a computer programme, to ensure quality and consistency.

Ingredients are measured in exact amounts into sealed storage tanks from where they are transferred by suction in a precise order into a series of mixing vessels.

Regular sensory and analytical checks are made to ensure that every product matches its specification exactly, in terms of its appearance, smell taste, sugar, acid and pH levels.

Many of our drinks are made from compounds, which we produce in the syrup room at our Widford factory. Following closely-guarded recipes, ingredients are mixed in large stainless steel tanks.

Once a batch is ready, the compound is packed into large plastic containers called IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) for delivery to our factories or transferred to the production area at Widford.
