Quality Control

Introduction

Quality control

We purchase our own products from a variety of outlets for analysis in our laboratories

Our relationship with our customers and consumers is built on trust and when it comes to the quality and safety of our products, consumer confidence is vital.

Our commitments in this area are set out in our combined Quality, Safety and Environmental Policy Statement.

Britvic operates an ongoing risk assessment and risk management system, which subjects our production process (and every stage of our supply chain) to rigorous quality controls.

We are committed to operating at the highest standard of food safety and quality, and have maintained ISO 9001 accredited systems since the early 1990s. More recently all our production sites have gone through the process of obtaining accreditation by EFSIS to the BRC Global standard - Food.

We adhere to Technical Codes of Practice for both good manufacturing practice and hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) systems, which are routinely audited by our Central Quality Assurance team.

The quality of our products in the market is continuously monitored through two key processes:

  • We purchase our own products in a variety of outlets across the country and send them to the central laboratories for analysis against our quality specifications and taste and appearance.
  • We closely monitor any customer and consumer complaints and react very quickly to any emerging issues.
